Zephyranthes candida produces a profusion of pure white, 2″-3″, star-like flowers over narrow, grass-like dark green foliage. Plants burst into bloom after good rainfall events throughout the summer and early fall. Zephyranthes candida is a perennial that grows from clumps of bulbs that multiply rapidly. It will also self sow. The fine foliage is semi-evergreen.
Zephyranthes candida prefers sun to light shade and moist soil but it is tolerant of average conditions and drought. All parts of the plant are toxic.
