‘Ellen’s Blue’Butterflybush has fragrant lavender-blue flowers with orange-gold eyes. The orange eyes give this butterflybush something very special when looking at it up close. Ellens Blue is great for bees, butterflies, hummers and other pollinators. Ellens Blue was a chance seedling of ‘Lochinch’ and named for Ellen Hornig owner of Seneca Hill Nursery in upstate New York.’Ellen’s Blue’ butterfly bush will be 5-6 ft in height and width in 10 years. ‘Ellen’s Blue’ was received the Royal Horticultural Societys Award of Garden Merit in 2010.
